DIRECTOR

DATO' HANAFI MAMAT, has been
the director ever since the incorporation of the firm in 1990. He graduated
from North-East London Polytechnic (now University of East London) with BSc. (Hons) in Surveying
and Mapping Sciences. He later obtained his MSc at the University of
Technology Malaysia in Land Development and Administration and is also
currently a doctoral (PhD) candidate at the same university.
Upon graduating he
joined the Survey and Mapping Department Malaysia serving in various capacities in Taiping, Kuala Lumpur, Kuantan, Kuala Terengganu and Kelantan. One remarkable
experience he had gone through was the dangerous and arduous mission as a Team
Leader in the Malaysia-Thailand International Boundary Survey and
Demarcation Project. In 1977, he survived a communist terrorists ambushed and 4
booby trap attacks and incidents during the course of this national duty. He had
successfully completed some 70 kilometres of border survey during his tenure on
the backdrop of continuing communist terrorists manace attempting to disrupt the
project . He resigned from government service in October 1990 to set up his practise.
He has attended numerous national and
international congress and seminars pertaining to surveying and technology on
Continuing Professional Development program. He is a Fellow of The Institution
of Surveyors Malaysia (ISM). He has served in the Association of Athourised Land
Surveyors Malaysia (PEJUTA) beginning as an ordinary member, exco member,
Secretary-General, Vice President and is currently chosen as the President of
the Association since 2004.
He is an associate member of the Royal
Institution of Charted Surveyor.
He has contributed immensely to the Land
Surveying profession and the community.
In December 2005 he was elected as a member
of the State Legislative Assembly for the State of Kelantan.
